Re: The Cummins Saga.....Sigh

Santa brought a new CP3 and #3 injector for Christmas. The shop asked if it had ever had gas ran through it on accident. It hadn't but I was mostly bummed about needing the new injector as the whole set had been replaced at 94k. The truck has 129k on it now. Oh well. It's back up and running fine ag...

Re: The Cummins Saga.....Sigh

Called in the hook. We'll see how it goes. I would agree that it's not reaching or reading the proper rail pressure.

The Cummins Saga.....Sigh

It seems as though my 06 Cummins wants to provide another educational experience for me. The truck has been running fine, great mileage, no smoke, smooth idle. Have 14psi at the filter housing when energized (audible, yes). Cranks but no start. Check engine light came on an 1/8 mile away from arrivi...

Re: The official not going to dukes thread.

Slammed might be a little much but my tow hooks and liscence plate bracket did make love to the wall. Maybe a 20' truck in a 21' garage was a bad idea.

Re: The official not going to dukes thread.

Not gonna make it. November 1st we're suppose to close on the new house. I'll be spending this weekend finishing a little sheetrock repair in our apartment garage. It's not my fault that Dodge put 2nd gear right next to reverse  . Whoops

If you feel risky enough to accept my facebook friend invite, here's a clip of a flowmaster 50 series. I personally still think it's kind of loud especially holding a gear on the road but it's way better than the 30 series single chamber that I had before. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=8248088...

Re: Turn Signal Ideas

I can't say that either LED or incandescent lighting really rocks my world but most would vote for LED. LEDs when used as turn signals typically don't provide enough risistance and will require a different flasher to keep them from flashing a million miles an hour. For a mainstream one-stop-shop, Ge...

Garage Door Lift Kit

Thought this was pretty cool. I'm curious if this has become an available option from most door installers these days?

Re: Frnt End Wheel Hop

Yes but alot of that slop is probably in your detroit. I checked my front end recently when I put new seals in it before Moab. Measured .005" of backlash with an indicator. A D60 has a 9.75" ring gear. Circumference would be 30.63". 30.63/360 = .085"per degree. .085 x 6.5 = 0.552...

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. We're definitely hoping for the best.

Bill - Yes, the company is taking care of the move so that makes it a lot easier.

Duke - Sounds like a plan. Any chance for another stint in AL?

We're moving again! .....Seriously

With mixed emotions, Lisa and I are on the move again. A significant career opportunity was recently presented to Lisa which we've decided to act on resulting in an upcoming move to GA sometime this summer. As of July 1st, Lisa is the new HR manager of Caterpillar's Griffin, GA engine center. This i...

Any DuraSolid Customers?

I'm curious if anyone has ever purchased anything from the drivetrain parts supplier DuraSolid? I haven't personally but I'm in the market for a spindle for an axle project. For a little quick and dirty background, DuraSolid use to be the major supplier for Randy's R&P Yukon Line up until late 2...

TJ Measurement Please

Would a fellow TJ owner be so kind as to provide me with a factory measurment? I need to know the distance from your rear axle center line to a plumb line droped from the lowest point of the rear frame rail slot. The picture below helps explain this. Thanks. http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/1346/c...

Re: Anyone in the HVAC biz?

The garage is right at 900 sq ft and fully insulated and finished. The ceiling is 10' 4" and the doors are also insulated. With the amount of recovery that would be required caused by opening atleast one of the garage doors 2-3 times daily, I figure something mid-size would be needed (50k btu o...
