Finally making progress again. The seats should be in by the end of the week and I began the motor wiring tonight. Didn't get to far though, the power went out.

Correct, the air cleaned is the one off of the old Ram. The chevy is for the K-5 Blazer that Scott is working on.

When i bought it from Dr. Dirt it was a 'legal titled vehicle'. It will be titled as a 1974 cj-6. I am looking at the title and vin now. #5 Randy's ring and pinoin now offers a 30 spline full spool for the 60. This would solve the new carrier for the lower gears and will never brake.

We all should have waited to place a bulk order of 38" swampers. May have saved a few dollars with all the sets that are appearing on club vehicles. :lol: Yeah go with the swampers.

Dad rebuilt the motor in his Jeep. i am still working on building the '6. Winter project that is turning into a spring project, but hopefully not a summer project.

Well, thing went faster than expected this past weekend. Bolted the motor back to the trans and t-case after installing a new clutch. It was still early in the afternoon so being the REDNECKS that we are, bungee corded a radiator to the frame set up a box fan for cooling and fired the 318 up after w...

Trans and t-case now cleaned and ready to go back in. Got all the clutch parts and ordered a radiator on friday. Hope to fir the motor next weekend.

Front axle is now reassembled and it is finally sitting on all 4 tires now. Got the motor painted and ready to go in. Hope to have the trans ready thursday and get the clutch ordered. Hope to have it running by next weekend. Once it is running I get to order a tub.

If it was a properly designed axle and the pinoin came in above centerline like almost all other rear axles you wouldn't have a problem blowing out u-joints. :roll:

Jon, a lot of cars came with 9" axles. so he will probably not have a problem with bolt pattern size.

Front axle is back in, now if I can get the machine shop to finish the knuckles I may actually be able to roll it around again.
