MIJC Meeting Minutes November 9, 2019

Old Business:
No new members present.
Treasurers Report: Ending Balance $819.18. $190 paid to renew the mijc.org domain for another 5 years and $10 paid to the Secretary of State to maintain the non-profit status. Leaving balance of $619.18.
Motion made and passed to accept report. While discussing the finances a motion was made and passed for the club to buy pizza’s for the December election meeting.

Vandyz Off-Road Park on October 18th – several members had traveled to Fulton, MO and said that it was small but fun. $10 a piece with a fairly challenging gully.

Duke’s Halloween run was cancelled due to low interest and bad weather.

New Business:
Badlands Off-Road Park in Attica Indiana on November 23rd is the next scheduled event. Watch the forum for details on caravanning over.

Nominations were open for the following officers. Those currently holding the office ARE eligible to fill for another term.

President: Currently held by Larry Wilson who declined the nomination for another term.
Secretary: Rose Bortolussi, accepted nomination for another term.
Events Coordinator: Jon Martin nominated for another term, was not present to accept or decline.

After much debate and a review of the bylaws the nominations will be carried over into the December meeting in hopes that another nomination for President will be made.
Tentative 2020 calendar was presented and reviewed. A few of the usual sites were missing and the destination of the “Big Trip” needs to be determined before the dates can be set. Added was Land Between the Lakes Labor Day weekend, Bandland’s on November 14th and SMORR on Columbus Day weekend. Will be finalized in December.
As always the forum is the place to be. Renewal forms and banquet information will be available at the December meeting.
