My 95 Orvis

Post by benholeton »

Hey all. I am new to these forums and new to Central IL. I have a 1995 Grand Cherokee Orvis I am working on. Picked it up a couple of months ago. So far, just getting repairs done. Fixed the AC. New brake pads and rotors (though I am getting a squeal in low speed situations from the back...gotta try and figure that out). I have new soft brake lines, but the old ones are fused to the hard lines, and I don't have the tools to re-flare the ends if I break anything, so those are on hold. I am getting new tires next week (they're on order). I am a new fuel pump to install, as well as a fuel filter while I have the tank dropped (will do that as soon as my buddy in SE Iowa says he has time. I don't have the knowledge to do that myself). Next step is steering and suspension parts to work on. I am a little knowledgeable about doing some of this, and I'm always ready to learn more. Currently living in pekin, my wife and i just bought a place in groveland which will have room for me to actually work on things. looking forward to meeting some of you. I will be joining the club here soon.

Welcome to the area, Could the Sequel be a whistle? On a 04 Dakota I just picked up the muffler is in need of replacing and it whistles.
Thanks,
Will

Another thread has told me to go ahead and have new gas tank straps before I drop the tank as the old ones likely won't be reusable. Will get those. I've also started getting in some various front end suspension parts. Need to start replacing those before death wobble. I've had that before. it's no good. no good at all.

Anyone here good with fuel tanks? My buddy doesn't have time. I can supply lunch and beverages.
