JK Pedal Commander

A friend of mine has a 2-door JK and asked if I knew anything about this:

Anybody use one of these, or something like it? All this drive-by-wire computer gobbledy-gook is not on my Jeeps!

My understanding is this thing tricks the computer into "thinking" you pushed the accelerator pedal more than you actually did, making the vehicle feel more peppy. It doesn't somehow magically generate more power. I wouldn't spend my money on it.

I would agree with Fraser, I also wouldn't think It would be good off road, when trying to increase rpm's by a small amount.

It's doubtful this Jeep will see any time in the dirt. But I don't think he's going to get one.
