Dave and I are planning on going, but already made arrangements to go with friend driving a Chevy. If everyone is ok with Chevy running with us, we would join up with all of you.

Jon and Abby, we plan on going would like more information about it. Like convoying down as a group? Times? Any information would be a great help. Thanks

Shannon - If your friend doesn't mind getting pulled around by a bunch of Jeeps, I would welcome him to wheel with us! :P

I'm planning on going... unless the weather is terrible of course.

Jon and Abby, we usually meet up in Morton around 6-6:30 at the BP just off I-74 and go over together. I'm not sure where you're coming from, but if that's out of the way for you, you can catch up to us on the road or meet at the park. We usually park in the upper lot behind the concession building.

Anyone want to nail down a departure time from Morton?

OK, I'll decide. 6am tomorrow at the BP in Morton, just off I-74. We lose an hour going there anyway so the earlier the better. Please post if you're going to meet us there.

Dave and I are planning to leave this afternoon, so we will meet you at the park. Scott (Chevy guy) will meet us at the park as well, although I don't think he will get there until around noon or so. Should be a good time!

I will be leaving from work. I have the Jeep with me so I'm ready. If I'm not there by 6:05 leave without me.

Not bad. It rained for about 45 minutes then we were back on the trails for the rest of the day.

It was great timing... we had stopped for lunch right before the storms came through, so we were able to ride them out under the canopy behind the concession stand. I'm glad someone reminded me the park was on Eastern time... I wanted to wheel for another hour to let the lunch rush go by.

I had a GREAT time!!! I took my stock TJ pretty much everywhere. There were a two hills I couldn't make - and a rock garden that I shouldn't have gone into... But, I feel good about what I did. I had to remind myself to pick my battles.

I watched the guys in front of me on the trails, watching how they attacked the obstacles, and learned a lot.

I also determined what my next purchases should be: a lift and protection. I dinged up my right side rocker panel and I broke the right side sway bar link. Oh, and I bent the front bumper on a rock ledge. But, she drove home just fine.

Thanks again for setting this up! I'm looking forward to the next outing!
