Re: Roll call for Harlan County
What are the planned dates. I am hoping to have the rig done by the weekend of the 19th as long as work doesn't keep interfering with my life. Harlan would make a good solid shake down ride.

I will not be able to make it until Tuesday. I have to fly Monday night now, unfortunatly Harlan is just outside our local flying area or I was going to buzz the "condo".

Re: Roll call for Harlan County
major change of plans. Mickey's jeep will not be making this trip, thanks to Ballistic Fabrications' inability to get their act together. Bottom line, the newly installed D44 knuckles and high steer arm required a new tie rod and drag link which was ordered on the 14th and has now been cancelled, and it's tough to operate a jeep without those parts. Called Offroad Design to see about an overnight shipment but they were too busy with their Ultimate Adventure build to hook us up.
And if that's not enough, my Dodge will also not be making the trip. To rewind for a moment, the injection pump took a dive in February at 32,000 miles, not to the point of total failure, but it was on its way, and was replaced under warranty. Back then, it took three days to get a replacement. Can you guess where this is going? A little while ago, I noticed fuel was leaking from somewhere around the injection pump, figured it was a loose fitting or connection that resulted as a side effect from the repair 4 months ago. Dropped it off this morning (Thursday) to get it looked at, turns out the fuel is leaking from the pump itself and the pump needs to be replaced, again. The pump is once again on national backorder from the manufacturer, but 'luckily' a dealer in NY has one and the truck can be ready on Monday. Hmmm, only two days late.
So, Plan A, B and many others are long gone and we're on Plan F now. I've got a functional jeep and Mickey has a functional truck. We'll install a transmission cooler on Mickey's truck and use it to haul my TJ to Harlan county.

Had fun on day one. The group had one roll over (Tom's fine, so is his jeep. Just some damage to his hood.) and some body damage. Everyone had fun though. Everythings perfect! Now for day two!
