I normally receive a post card invitation to this event, however for this year I did not. This could be simply because I moved 14 months ago and my mail is no longer being forwarded. I sent an email to the parade coordinators asking if we can join in again this year. Will post here if/when I hear back. If not, I guess we'll just have to watch and eat.

We have been unofficially entered into the parade. It starts at 4pm on Sunday June 14th, so we probably need to arrive and get lined up around 3pm-ish and definitely before they start closing streets. Post here if you can attend.

I also plan on attending. Here is a little more detail from the official parade coordinator: "Parade starts at 4 p.m. this sunday. Check-in is between 2-3 p.m. at the Tremont Township BLDG at 308 S. James just one block south of the Grade School. You will get your position number then and guys will be available to direct you to your line-up spot. Thanks so very much. We do look forward to you joining us once again."

Just a reminder, the Turkey Festival Parade is this Sunday afternoon! We have received your entry and have reserved a position for you. Your position Number is 107.

Check in begins at 2:00p.m., at the Tremont Township Building, located just one block south of the Tremont Grade School at 308 S. James St. Please check in prior to 3:00 p.m. to verify your position as it may change. Floats should be in position by 2:30 for judging. The parade route will be the same as last year. (North on Sampson, East on Tazewell, South on Harris)

We had a good turn out. There were 8 or 9 jeepers there. The weather was perfect. Partly cloudy and breezy. The Liberty may look a little out of place BUT our license plate is a big hit with the crowd. Again this year, we thought we had enough candy...wrong! Although ours did last untill we made the loop around the carnival and got back to Rt 9.
Note to self... 2 more bags next next year. Word on the street was that someone ran out before we got to main street. I do believe it was a good time had by all, that was there. Hey Fraser, maybe you could ask for us to have the one side of the whole block next year.
