AMC 304 Electronic Ignition Recommendations

My brother's CJ7 (the one I did the tub swap on) now apparently needs new points and he would like to just go ahead and install a Electronic Ignition in the AMC 304. Any Recommendations?

Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) is nice. Larger distributor cap to help prevent crossfiring, integrated coil in the cap, 1-wire hookup (2 if you want a tach feed). I have it on my 360 and I've had no problems with it, and I even bought it used.

Ditto the DUI if it will fit clearance wise. Have used there product on a couple SBC though not on an AMC. Pertronix kits on points dist Chevys work great but I dont know if a kit is avail for the AMC. Used it twice on SBC boat motors and never even lifted the cap after installation.

Hey Thanks. I've also come across an HEI for the AMC 304 that is onlt $79.90 (66.95+12.95 S&H) on e-Bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0483902075

Price is nicer than what I see on the DUI (299).

Any one used the HEI's like on e-Bay (I assume it's a GM knock off)?

Do not use the E-Bay piece of crap I repeat do not use it. I use the DUI in my 304. with out any problems. do a jeepforums search on bad distributor gears. There are other good dizzies out there, I don't know anything about them.
