Buddy needs to find a good home

Post by Duke Winch »

Buddy is a dog that showed up in my yard a month back and adopted me. However, I will be leaving for work soon and he can't come along. He's an excellent dog. Even Satan the cat likes him. Loving, smart, very mild mannered, always excited to see you, follows me on my walks in the woods, etc. I will miss him. He's older, probably around ten based on the wear on his teeth. An out doors dog and has never tried to come into the house.

I cannot bring myself to take him to the shelter as I know they will probably put him down. So ... is there anyone who would be interested in adopting him?
PLEASE SAVE ME! Dukes weird! He must think I'm a puppy or something. Always using baby talk. And if whistles one more time my head is going to explode! I only pretend that I like him so he'll keep feeding me. Speaking of food, Duke's a cheapskate and buys the cheapest thing he can find ... it's awful! I would leave on ... SQUIRREL!!!

Hmmmm, not sure what the cats would think of him. I would be willing to be a last resort. He sure is cute and was well mannered. Sorry Tom.

No, not going to happen!
Great dog but I am happy being dogless.

I guess that it is a good thing that Rob doesn't have the log in information :) They did enjoy their time together and if we didn't have 3 dogs already we might consider it. Jim's daughter seemed to have bonded with him. All joking aside, Steve have you taken him to a vet to see if he had been micro-chipped? They will scan him for free. They could possibly track down his owner and if nothing else punish them for dumping him. Also, there is a NO Kill Shelter here, TAPS, where we have adopted our dogs. Here is their number 309-353-8277, I don't know what the waiting list is like but we would possibly be willing to transport him up here or there might be a NO Kill shelter closer to you that would take him. There is also a website page dedicated to Lost/Found dogs.... http://www.lostdogsillinois.org maybe they can help.
