I just found out the state of Illinois will no longer be mailing license renewal notices
so if you have several vehicles (Jeeps) as some of us do
you may want to register on the DMV site to get e-mail notices

Re: license plates
Looks like this is where you do it, but you need some numbers off of either your renewal notice or your current registration card. Everybody has that handy, right??

Re: license plates
I was told this morning that the info you need is on last years registration card. You know the one you are to keep in your glove box.

Re: license plates
I've probably got everyone for each vehicle in their prospective glove box, don't think I've ever thrown one away. Just keep adding to the piles.

Re: license plates
I've never kept mine in the glovebox in any car. You're not required to show your registration (when pulled over) unless you are driving a commercial vehicle. A current sticker on your rear plate proves your car/truck is registered.
