Dukes on Memorial Day weekend

Post by alkat »

Hey Duke, 2 questions. First, can I reserve an electrical hookup for my trailer and second are there any special tools we need to round up for the bridge build or any other trail work?

What kinda power do you need?

As for tools ... perhaps a chainsaw in the event mine goes down. And a crane .. a crane would be nice.

30amp would be nice, I can work with 20. Not sure air con. And ref. Wild both work on 20 though.

Oh by the way, my crane's in the shop (muffler bearings are shot) guess we'll have to do it the old fashioned way. Snatch blocks and winches.

I will be coming after I get off work Friday night.
We will not be bringing the Jeep.
Spencer do you have directions to get to Dukes?

Spencer ... I don't know if you are planning to stay in the house or planning to camp, but either way bring bedding. Other than that, your fav beverages, adult or otherwise for the lairs club about the campfire and ingredients for your signature food dish if you like. I have a big kitchen with all the things you would need to make it here.

Everyone else ... Looking for a head count for groceries so, if you coming chine in what days you'll be staying.

As always I'll have stake and taters Friday night for everyone. Fixings for breakfast Sat and Sunday and all the ingredients to build yourself a deluxe sandwich for lunch on Sat. I'll leave the rest of the menu to those staying Sat and Sunday night.

For those new to the Duke's Off Road Experience the very loose schedule;

Friday Night Steak and Taters for dinner after which we head to the Dun-Did-Er Campground fire for libations and conversation. .
Sat morning breakfast around 8:30 and hit the trails around 9:30. Back to house for lunch around 1:00 and then back to the trails.
Sat night dinner is whatever folks decide to bring.
Sunday is a repeat of Saturday but on an even looser schedule.
Monday, most folks pack up and leave after breakfast.

Steve, Kat and I plan on being there Friday morning and leaving Monday morning. Like I asked earlier, I would like to borrow some electricity for the trailer.

Kim and I will be there Friday evening, leaving the Pekin area after the Louie Louie parade, staying in the house though Sunday, or Monday, to be determined.

Sorry thought I responded on the power. Must of forgot to hit the send button. 20 Amp is no problem. The only 30 I have is for my welder. We can prbably get that to work with a little plug cord modifications. I also have a generator i could hook you right up to. We'll figure it out when you get here.
