Labor Day weekend Land Between the Lakes VS Blue Hollar
Our schedule for Labor Day weekend is for Turkey Bay at Land Between the Lakes. I do have that weekend off and plan on going.
I have though, found out about another park in Kentucky that I would think would be worth checking out. (from a formal member, Andy Gennette)
The name of it is Blue Hollar offroad Park.
http://blueholleroffroadpark.com/
It is around 1 1/2 hours (from Morton) farther than LBL . 6 hours 32 min. 403 miles vrs 5 hours 17 min.
I am asking those who have planned on going to LBL. Would you like to check out Blue Holler or stay with the schedule and go to LBL?
I can go either way.

Me and Greg (2004 Rubicon) are staying in the Aurora Oaks campground. Two of my adult children are also coming with their offroad rigs and are staying at Aurora Kentucky Lake Cottages in the hotel part. They also have cottages for rent.

Sounds good.
I will plan on making reservations somewhere in Aurora.
I wonder if the Fin and Feather is still there?

Re: Labor Day weekend Land Between the Lakes VS Blue Hollar
A heads up for those of us staying in the Aurora Oaks Campground. They are having a end of year potluck Saturday evening that gets started around 5pm. Last year they asked for people attending to bring a dish to pass. I did not know until I checked in so I was not very well prepared last year. The campground owner is making pulled pork for everyone.

For those of us who are not camping.
Would you like to go here Saturday night?
https://www.brasslanternrestaurant.com/index.htm
I would need to know the number of people who want to go, to make reservations.
I am thinking around 7?

Sorry Fraser but it will be at 7:00.
They had a 5:00 but by the time we get back and cleaned up I just do not see that as do able.
We can come and pick you and Kim up and drop you off.
I have invited Ray Miller too.

Will we meet at the Ranger Station at the entrance of the Park Saturday morning? If so what time?
