Sept 1st - Flat Nasty or Hanibal Rocks?

Post by BrianB »

I see we've got 2 trip possibilities over the holiday and I really want to go wheelin somewhere. What is Flat Nasty like? Has anyone made any definite plans for either trip yet? For those that have been to Flat Nasty, where have you stayed?

I may be going to Hannable, I think the run is reserved for the first 100 to sign up. We signed up almost the same day the run was turned out. I need to put brakes on first and that add's $$ to the trip I might not have. If I can't go and someone wants to take my spot I'll see if that is ok.

We are going to Flat Nasty. I think Jerry O is too. This will be the first time we have been there so I can not answer your questions as far as what it is like. I see they have camping so will check that out. I know we want something with a shower.

This is the website for Flat Nasty. http://www.flatnasty.net I see they have primitive camping and also a cabin. There is also another campsite 5 miles away.

Dr. Dirt is now well and ready to ride again. Will be going to Flat Nasty. Talked to Jerry O. and they are definitely going also.

Glad to hear you're feeling better!
Game Plan: Tom has to work until 7:00pm friday. We will leave from Bloomimgton and travel to the Duke's for the night. Leave in the morning for Flat Nasty. I have us booked into a cabin/trailer at Barton'sLodging, about 2 miles from the park. It has five beds, kitchen, and shower. It costs $20 a person per night. I booked it for sat. and sun.. All of the tent camping had no showers and portapotties. I think this was the best option. Although we could have cleaned up in the Cuurent river at one campground. Burrrrr.
