I finally have a weekend off! Is anyone interested in going out for a day or couple of days? I haven't been to any of the parks yet that you guys go to, so I'm game for anywhere.

I am sure if anyone wanted to join us, I might be able to get it arranged for others to stay. I will speak with the president of the club and let you know.

Um Todd you are pretty close to the same age as I am.

From reading Pertneer's post it sounds like NIJA is going to be there this weekend.
June 25-28 is a week from this weekend. Just trying to make sure everyone is on the same page.

They are going to be there the weekend of the 26/27 of June. They still plan on being there, but there is a lot of people with broken rigs right know, so there are only three so far that I know of for sure, including myself. They usually get there when the park opens the lot.

I spoke with the president and he said he was told that anyone can camp in the parking lot if they want too, but that is only if they do not bring alcohol (it is prohibited in the park anyway). So if you guys are interested in staying it will be no issue.

We may be able to camp in his backyard. For those of use who like to partake in alcohol after the ride.
That is if he has room after putting in his new building!

I had a blast wheelin with you guys! Thanks for letting me tag along. Hope everyone made it home safe.

I was hoping my interior would dry out on the way home. Its still damp, and starting to stink

Yea.i wonder if Tim's(pertneer) wetbut is dry? Had a good time. i was waiting for the rain last night that didnt happen.

I had to drive almost half way home before finding a parts store that was open and had the right size belt. For some odd reason the length changed. None of the brackets moved but the belt was shorter that the number on the previous belt. Since the belt was broke I could not measure it accurately. Once I got the belt we just stayed in a motel in the town since it was almost 9:00 anyway and we were tired.

We went back on Sunday morning and had a great time. The wife drove most of the day, except for the steep hills like lori's hollar. The rain did come in the area, but it didn't make the trails any worse than on Saturday and were drying by 10:00. Some guys in a Cherokee acted like they were trying to get me to do lori's hollar to get me stuck. They said they would follow me and when i got to the other side they turned around and split. They looked very surprised when I made it on the first try.

The guy from my club that did go got confused and went to the badlands instead. Oops.

Maybe we can plan a run together, for the two clubs, sometime next year when more can come.

And yes my butt got dry at least until I sat in my Jeep in the morning

I had a good time too. Couldn't of asked for a nicer day. Didn't get real hot like we thought. Sounds like everyone made it home ok with no surprises.
