TJ Transmission Bracket

Post by CLBJeep »

Looking for some help from fellow TJ owners. Installing my new TNT Customs belly pan (very similar to RE design) for the upgraded long arm suspension. The previous owner installed the Atlas TC, but didn't modify the transmission bracket properly, so I'm fixing that first. My question is, do any of you know what size and length the 4 bolts are that mount the transmission bracket to the bottom of the transmission tail housing? Here's an picture from Advance Adapters showing the bracket to be modified. Fraser probably is familiar with this mod. I need to move the cushion forward, and attach it with those 4 bolts I need info on. The ones there now don't seem right, and are really hard to thread in, so I think I'll be re tapping holes for correct size. Thanks

Clint

Appears they should be 7/16" coarse (14 tpi) x 1-1/8" long, grade 5. Good luck!
