I have a early 231 a sm465 and a d 300. I know what to do to match the transfer to the tranny what I need to know is what to do to marry tranny to buick motor.All help is appreciated. 309-208-4005

New bellhousing from Advanced, Novak most likely has the same thing.

It has the gm 60 degree bolt pattern on the back of the block so you have to find that for a bellhousing and not sure if there were any factory 60 degree to 465 housing out there. You can look through this thread on pirate on the 3800, same bellhousing pattern and setup.

I actually have a similar set up. You need a buick, olds, pontiac bell housing and the opening needs to be machined to 5 inches. Then you need the front bearing retainer on the transmission machined down so it fits in the hole (novak has a good write up on it). Its a pretty good combination however, its very heavy to work with.
