Today I ripped the original movie DVD to a file and began grabbing screen shots from it so that we could make a script and storyboard. I also transcribed the dialogue from a few select scenes in the movie so that we could start working on dialogue modifications. Making a storyboard is an all-important step when doing a shot-for-shot parody of any movie or TV show, so that you can compare the original shots with your own for composition, movement, timing and other details. It’s important to have a hard copy with you on the shoot.
