The first draft of the club schedule for 2012 is now available for download (Adobe PDF). Please take a look at it; we will be approving it at the December meeting. Other important items that came out of the November meeting (read the full minutes here):
- Frank and I were nominated to carry on our positions to a second term. Sally Evans has been nominated to be the Secretary. Nominations are now closed; “elections” (and I use that term loosely) will be held at the December meeting (12/3/11, 12pm, Goodfellas).
- Even though there are no hotly-contested races, the club will be providing pizza for lunch for the December election meeting as we always do. Please try to make it for some free food.
- The annual dinner will be at the American Legion Hall in Pekin on January 14th at 6pm. Jan Brown will be providing the main dish; everyone else brings a side dish or dessert to share as we do for the Hog Eat. We might want to consider a side-dish sign-up on the forum so we don’t end up with 5 trays of cheesy potatoes, although I do enjoy some good potatoes. 🙂
- Cost for the dinner is $5 per person. Reservations and payment are due by January 1st to Jill Martin. Please be on time; we need to know how many are coming so we know how much food for Jan to make. As with any MIJC event, family members are welcome.
Although we did not discuss it at the meeting, memberships are also up for renewal. We’ll have forms at the next meeting and at the annual dinner. Please renew your memberships for 2012 before January 31st. The cost is $30. As per our bylaws, any existing member renewing after January 31st is subject to a $10 penalty fee. This is something we enforce! Don’t be “that guy”; renew when you make your reservation for the annual dinner.
