the wire being pinched happend to me back about "73" . no forums to seek help then. as i remember it took days to find it. i'm glad you found the prob. i wish i'd remembered three days ago. oh well.

i guessing there is no spark. if the coil is bad there will still be voltage on the battery side of the coil when you turn the key on. but not on the other side(i've had coils (1) go bad after sitting while i rebuilt a engine). as i read on other forums about dealerships "replace with a known g...

(If the coil is getting power, have you done the test where you hold one of your plug wires near the block and crank, to see if any spark is coming down the line? Pull the boot back to expose the metal contact. You should see it arc across a small gap. I think you can also do this with the main coil...

well, the axle is off to moser. kdl said he could shorten and respline at about tripple the cost, and would have to send it away for induction harding. i also found kelsey maching on rt 29 at about the same cost

well, anderson tool is out of business. armitage does'nt do axels anymore and armitage told me , the places he works with doesnot either. i guessing hr means tazwell and boley. they just work for cat. so either i send the axle to moser, or a place in colona,il called southwich machine, i'm waiting f...
