Kinda looks like the state of New York. Did you do that on purpose?

Dave,

No, with the exception of the small patch of woods on the bottom right that we added, that was the shape of the place when we bought it. We have approximately 215 acres, with about 40 in pasture, and a 5-7 acre lake.

Will - just north of the creek, is that a road or railroad?

That's a Rail Road, the Iron Mountain Railway, mostly used by Amtrak these days (they have two a day, one each way).

The "creek" is the Black River.

The county road (gravel) is in the upper right corner.

It's about 1.5 hours further than WASHITA, so that makes it approximately 5.5 hrs.

OK Gang, here is who I have coming:

Fraser - Arriving?
Matt - Arriving Friday around Noon
Jon - Arriving Friday around Noon
Bill - Arriving?
Me - I'll be there plenty early

For one Meal I'll be smoking a Pork Butt/Shoulder, it will take about 10 hours, but will cook while we play. If everyone arrives Friday, I can have it that evening and we will likely have left overs for Saturday, other wise I'll cook it Saturday. So I'll have one mill covered.

If anyone else is coming let me know ASAP as I'll not have real internet connections while I'm at the property. Also for those coming make sure you have my cell phone number, but coverage is iffy, and text messages get through better than calls.

Thanks,
Will

I hope to be there before dark on Friday, earlier if I get a chance to load up before Friday morning.

I would love to be there but my sentence here lasts another two weeks. You guys have fun and don't stand on the cut off end of the log when running the chain saw! (I hate it when that happens)

Bill,

I've seen fully loaded dump trucks cross them with no problem. All my gravel came across them, some of the loads were tandem axle trucks. The highway trucks full of gravel (tandem axle) also travel them. My Dodge, Trailer and M go across with out batting an eye, I'm 18+ on weight. You will only cross one of them coming in from the north, and one low water bridge.

See ya there,
Will

I hope Saturday's chance of rain goes away, would hate to be wet and therefore cold all day. I'll be keeping a close watch on that and may back out if it doesn't look good.

OK, current Chance of Precip looks to be only 15% and a high of 64, but as we all know the weather can and will change.

I choose to ignore, the 15%, and go with the 85% being dry.

Lisa and I are headed to Georgia over the weekend for a wedding and won't be able to make this trip. I hope the group has a good time and stays dry. Thanks for the invite Will.

Jeff,

OK, when are you showing up? Just so I'm sure the gate is open.
