Cruise Night Meetings

Post by TSEJEEPERS »

Where would you like to eat on our cruise nights? In previous years we have gone to Lou's Drive Inn, Emo's, Our Inn Place and Didley's Car Hop. After eating and the meeting, we drive around for awhile then head for ice cream at either the Ice Cream Shack or Culver's. We are looking for suggestions for this summer.

If the little ice cream place in Mackinaw were open, I'd suggest that. But it's not, so I won't. Maybe someone in the club could buy it and open it just so we could cruise there?

place to eat & meet

Post by todd watkins »

Kathy and I ate at the new Lagondola's in Washinton. The food there is excellent!!! Kathy knows the manager and I asked him about the summer meet&eat jeep outtings. He was more than happy to have the club there. If you haven't ate there TRY IT. They also have a GReat salad bar and soup.I give 10 stars. This resturant is very relaxing and romantic.

Here are a few. Most are in Peoria so if you have a favorte place SPEAK UP!!! Mr G's, Maid Rite 50s diner, Lou's, Lonny's Dairyland, Peoria Pizza works and the Burger Barge. It would be nice to include other towns. La Gondola in Washington, Didley car hop in Metamoria. Sorry Sonics and Petes Garage is pretty much out. (that is at least for my Jeep) There is a Sonics in Fulton that we ussually hit when we go to Potawotomi.

ice cream

Post by todd watkins »

Tremont has a great little ice cream shack.Isn't there one in Del-van,I mean, Delavan, too?Greenvalley, too? In Grand Prairie there's a ice cream shop near Buffalo wings I do believe? Emo's. The ice cream shack is good, but somewhere different would be nice. Just a few that I can think of.

I found out this evening that although the ice cream shop is still for sale, they are open for business as of a few weeks ago. So maybe we could cruise out here some evening. They also have burgers and fries and stuff... the name of the place is "Double J's".

Tom and I used to stop there when he lived in the trailer park in Mackinaw and really enjoyed it. Good idea. Glad to see that they are still open. Maybe we could go there instead of to the Firehouse one tuesday night.
