names bill. i'm a peoria firefighter. 50yo. got two jeeps a 83 and 85 cj7. that both need a little work.
have a couple other 4x4s a 89 gmc full size jimmy, you might have seen it around peo. its white with a lift , the old style turbine rims. and 35" bfg's
the other is a 02 f-350 toy hauler

thought i'd intro myself and get my first post out of the way. :D

thank you both for the welcome. i sent my application in today. i won't be driving either jeep for at least 60 days. the man i bought the 85 from(in savana,il) could'nt find the title so we had to call the previous owner in rockford , who is going to apply for a lost title and send it to me. the 83 won't be ever driven on the road as there is no title.(its a long story). so i bought a trail machine or parts jeep and also a driver.

right now they both start and are driveable and run well. looks is another story.

Have you looked into pursuing any of the lost title services? Too bad you didn't buy the Jeeps in Georgia, they don't require a title if the vehicle is over 20 years old!

In Mississippi if it's over 25 yrs., you get an antique tag and never have to reapply for a new one ever again.
